Fishing School
Meon Springs Fishing School offers fly fishing lessons to individuals and small groups, catering for beginners and seasoned anglers alike. You can choose from Taster Sessions, Experience Days, One to Ones and Childrens' Fly Fishing Sessions.
Each lesson is tailored to meet your needs and is guided by experts on one of our four lakes, each well stocked with top quality trout.
Fly Fishing Taster Session
The Meon Springs Fly Fishing Taster Session is not just about trout fishing; it is about a new and exciting experience.
A brilliant introduction to the sport, and if you are lucky enough to catch a trout, you can take it home for supper, adding a unique incentive to your whole fishing experience.
Fly Fishing 'One-to-One' tuition
Meon Springs Fly Fishing one-to-one sessions are ideal for anglers seeking to deepen their understanding of trout fishing. Enhance your casting, catching, and fly selection skills. Identify areas of improvement, allowing you to experience the satisfaction of a perfect cast.
Fly Fishing Experience Day
Meon Springs Fly Fishing Experience Days provide everything you need to get started in fly fishing. You will join a group of up to four people for a morning session of professional tuition, and then you will be free to fish for the rest of the day. Someone will be on hand to provide advice and encouragement.
Children’s Fly Fishing Session
Children’s fishing sessions are designed for children aged 6 to 12. Parents are welcome to watch, or they can relax at Zed and Bolly’s Café and Bistro. Your child will learn the basics of fly fishing and have the opportunity to catch a fish they can take home for supper.

Keeping on the Beat...
One thing about Fly Fishing is that it's not so easy, from home or the office, to keep informed as to what is happening on the lakes, which is why since the internet was invented we write and publish a weekly Fly Fishing Conditions Report, letting people know how to fish the current conditions, what flies are working as well as offer a weekly fishing tip and, just for fun a fish of the month leaderboard.
