Reviews of our Glamping

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful spot

We loved our stay at Meon Springs, it’s a great position right on the South Downs Way. The shepherd’s hut was so well appointed, much more room than we imagined and such a peaceful spot by the water. We also did yoga and clay pigeon shooting while we were there, both were excellent. Highly recommended for a break away from it all.

Perfect, peaceful weekend

We stayed in one of the shepherd huts for the weekend. The huts are clean, warm, cosy and have everything you need. They are right next to the lake such a lovely location.

We have stayed before and as usual can’t fault it. Whatever you want to do, whether it's Fly Fishing, Clay Shooting, walking, taking a stroll to see the farm, enjoying the scenery and peace or nothing at all its all there.

What more could you want!! We tried the Clay Shooting and had such a fun day. Our instructor Adrian was so friendly and a great instructor. All the staff are so helpful and friendly.

Richard was just walking by and stopped for a chat he gave my husband so much advise on the fly fishing.

The fishing lodge also has a cafe which is an added bonus to have right there for a coffee or bite to eat. There are lovely local pubs, the Thomas Lord our favourite. We will be going back as soon as we can. Thank You!!

A great place to escape to

A fabulous stay at the yurts at Meon Springs. The yurts are cosy and well appointed. The yurtery provides all the facilities you need for prepping and cooking meals or you can cook over the fire pit outside each yurt (firewood is provided but bring your own charcoal if you want to BBQ).

A great place to escape to and be surrounded by lovely scenery. Truly rural - you can hear the cows in the distance in the morning as they come in for milking.

Glamping in style

Back for second time to enjoy the whole yurt Village. Excellent as ever with all the amenities required to have a fantastic experience.

Alison and her team were helpful throughout and even helped a car escape some mud at the end!
All my friends introduced to Meon loved it and I'm sure we'll be back.

Meon Springs Autumn Stay

Upon arrival we were welcomed by a gift basket full of nibbles and a lovely bottle of beer to quench our thirst. We stayed in a shepherd's hut which had underfloor heating which was lovely.

Our dog especially liked her bed being snug and warm. The whole surroundings of Meon Springs are absolutely beautiful and we were blown away by the beauty of the lake. Even though I suffer with mobility issues, I was able to go for short walks to watch people fly fishing for trout and taking note of the abundance of wildlife in the surroundings.

We would definitely recommend Meon Springs to anyone wanting to stay within the South Downs or just wanting a short break away. The site does shepherds huts for 2, yurt stays sleeping 6 and more. Absolutely amazing, thanks to all the wonderful staff.

Back to Nature

This is the second time that we have stayed here 6 years apart. We had a great stay taking us back to nature. Sitting outside at night with little.

Noise and hearing all the animals. Also waking up by bird song. A de stress and lovely stay.

Thank you it was just what we needed.

Amazing Place!

The most amazing place. Could not fault the place. Great experience overall. We will definitely go again. The kitchen was so well equipped, the Yurts beautifully fitted, bedding was all lovely. Our grandson left his precious teddy behind and Alison and Jamie were so kind and helpful organising us picking it up. It meant a lot that they cared.

Highly Recommended

We stayed 2 nights at the yurt village with our 3 young children and had a wonderful time!

As there are only 6 yurts, it is really peaceful.
Our yurt was very clean and cosy, every detail had been considered. I needn't have packed toilet roll, a mirror etc, it was all in there!

I loved the fact that the logs and kindling for the burner were included, no messing around having to organise/pay separately.

The big sandpit was a hit with the kids (spades supplied!) But they were also very happy running through fields and watching the cows.

The owner, Jamie came to say hi, and we were made to feel so welcome.

We will be returning and have recommended to family and friends.
